I have a Trane unit that is 20 years old. The condenser fan has gone bad. The company I called said that it would be over $500.00 for the part to replace it. I don't trust that. I have the specs on the fan, but I am ignorant, I don't know what most of them mean. I need to know so that I can find a replacement without going through a professional. I know that any pro is going to try and get me to replace the entire system. While I realize that I need to do that, if I can temporarily fix this for a couple hundred dollars, then I would rather do that. Here are the specs listed:
230V 60 Hz 1 Ph Closed Shell CCW 1550 RPM 1/8 HP 1 speed FLA 1.9 LRA 3.3 Sleeve Bearings WInding resistance - ohms @77degrees F Blk to Blk 10.6/9.2
Here are the specs for the Fan:
2 blade 14" diameter 1/2" bore CW 36degrees Hub Up
When I look online for parts, I see terms like '48 frame'. I don't know how to choose a compatable motor. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Call Johnstone Supply on Monday. They will find a motor for you for around a $100. They may need the diameter of the motor along with your specs. If it requires a capacitor buy that too. I have found them to be knowledgable and helpful
