good day, I have a luxaire gas furnace with a exhaust fan that wont shut off, I've tried cycling the thermostat, tapping the solenoid, hitting the side of the furnace,...Is there any usual suspect for this symptom? the furnace has continued to operate absolutely as usual, with the exception of the ever running exhaust fan...HELP>

Exhaust fan may be a signal there something wrong. Check all the roll out switches(I think 3 in the burner section and maybe one in the blower section) Just push the button. Also the control board should give u a blinking code. Its near the blower.
Have u check the filter lately.

Ok, i'm a rank novice when it comes to furnaces, cars i know. What do the roll out switches look like? And how do i check them? I can't see any blinking light for a diagnostic code, is there a cover that may be hiding it? The filter is clean, it gets changed religiously every six years i mean months, seriously though it is almost new.

It's a temperature sensing switch located near the burners. and to test it just check it for continuity.

I think i found the sensor, two leads going into a small round thing bolted into the burner rail? If it is that there is continuity present while the exhaust fan is running. Is that correct?

That sounds correct, now you could have up to 3 ( normaly 2)limit devices and that is one .

what are the other two? One i assume is the main control module? and the other? if there is another. The only other components that I can see, are the main control module, the vacuum switch, and a box with what looks like a capacitor or coil that is mounted to the side of the furnace with the main power wire going into it.

One is normaly on the panel right in the center of the furnace and the last would be on the blower id the furnace is a downflow.
