Perhaps not the right forum however has anyone ever heard or tried spraying foam insulation on their garage ceiling in order to help deal with a cold bedroom above the garage? I have been told it is a good solution and provides an R20 insulation. Any thoughts?

My last office manager had that done to her whole house and was pleased with the results. Foam is a great insulator. I say go for it if its not to expensive.
How much is it if u dont mind me asking?

Actually in re-reading this email, I realize I didn't ask the right question. It was mentioned to me that the spray sticky foam was a good solution to spray right on drywall ( the stuff that comes in spray paint cans).

It will work but at $4 a can just not practical. Some companys do this for a living. Can also uses propane for pressure which might catch on fire(ive done it-10min after spraying).
