Autosparking intermitant pilot igniter is not sparking. What are the possibilities; how do I troubleshoot. When heat is called for the exhaust fan starts, but no spark. How do I test to see if power is coming to sparker? and test the controller unit that the igniter spark plug type wire comes from. or any other likely component?

First I'd check to be sure there's power to the spark control. If you have power then try and remove the pilot/spark unit and see if it's clean and the spark wire is in good condition. Then, with the furnace power off, the main gas valve off and using a jumper wire to connect the pilot unit to the furnace frame, I'd set the 'stat to call for heat and then turn the furnace power on while observing the spark ignitor. If still no spark, you may need a new spark control.
