I have a York Diamond 80 gas furnace that developed a problem right at the end of the heating season in the spring and now that the cold has returned, the problem has also: the burner will not stay lit. The furnace goes through the normal start-up cycle, the burners light, but the flame will go out after 10-20 seconds. It seems to coincide with the main blower fan coming on, but the flame will continue to burn for several seconds after the blower starts, but then will go out. This ultimately results in a lockout caused by loss of flame. I have replaced the flame sensor and checked the pressure switch. Any suggestions for what to check next?

IS it overheating? what is the supply air temperature just above the furnace?

Xenos.

The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.
