I'm renting a place with with a Sears Model#867.587130 Electric Furnace. I've determined thru an electrician friend, and lack of hot air (just warm), that my lower element is out. I went to Sears.com and found diagram/schematics, part#602954. They do not carry it anymore! I'm not sure how old it is, guessing at least 10 or more. Any idea where else to try to obtain this part? I'd appreciate any help, as I am far from major cities, and have to use internet only.

Sounds good but... The sides of each unit say "10KW 240V and the only restringing kits I saw said 5KW anyway, I'll keep searching...Thanks again, these forums are always a great help

Tried to grab image from web page. Can't do it. It's at www3.sears.com and then typing in model# 867.587130 I will look up the suppliers you suggested. Thanks again It's the lower element I think the part # is 602954

Thats it, #602954 or #602953 should work. Restring kits are a pain but should work. If u get oil from your hand on the string it will break in the next few years.(hint use tape measure and get help.) But they look generic 5kw heater cells.(If u can get a cell last longer easer to install.)

Johnstone supply and some places like that might help. But alot of electric parts are generic may not need OEM parts. What part are u looking for. If u got a pic it would help.

Most units are 3 to 7 kw heater cells. When i looked at the diagram they gave and read the list discription i believe it said 5kw. so each cell is 5kw. 10 kw would be 2 cells. Does that make sense.

Yes that makes total sense. If I pull it out will the other one still work? Just temporary heat until I get kit/look at it. I realize it will want to blow air out the hole
