My mom has a 12yr Fraser-Johnston electric furnace w/AC controlled by a Honeywell CT3200 thermostat. She was complaining the heat was not working properly so my brother replaced it with a new CT3200, now with the dip switches.
There are three wires from the wall; green, white & red all connected to corresponding leads. He also says there was a jumper from G to Y, but there still was not sufficient heat. I found out the A/C was running, so I pulled the jumper and it still ran, also when I just turned on the fan only (heat/cool) off. So the only way I can get heat is to pull the breaker on the A/C outside. Do I have 2 bad thermostats or something more sinister? Thanks

Im not 100% sure but. The jump from G to Y will bring on a/c any time there is a call for fan. I would remove the jumper from G to Y. I think what u want is Y to green, R to red, W to White.

I removed the jump with no results already. Also I have R,G & W from the wall, no Y. So should I try the G wire to the Y connection? thanks.
