Hi, I'm having a problem after installing my new furnace (replaced old furnace and relocated from attic to basement). I installed the furnace about 2 weeks ago. It will run fine for a day, sometimes 2, then i get an LED that flashes 4 times, which according to the schematic and error code index is a pressure switch problem. I reset the furnace and it works fine again, everything seems fine, then the next day it shuts off with the same error. I've checked for loose connections, etc. Any ideas why I'm having this problem? I don't understand why it will work fine, through several cycles and then act up. It's been really cold here and the furnace comes on several times an hour. It always seems to happen during the night and I wake up to a cold house. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is the effiency of this furnace? What elevation is this furnace installed at? The length/size of your vent lines may be marginal therefore it works during the warmer part of the day.
If you don't do the job right the first time When are you going to find time to fix it?

effiency is 80%. I installed new double wall vent line that runs about 6' slanting up at approx 15 degrees, then 13' straight up to the roof. BUT, it is shared with a hot water tank through a T at the bottom of the 13' stretch. Could this be the problem?

What is your elevation? If the pressure switch is not closing, the problem could be related to high altitude maybe?
