My furnace wont shut off until I shut the main breaker. It's not heating but the blower continues to stay on. It's flashing once indicating the circuit limit is on or something but how do i fix this.

I had someone look at it before winter, it was doing the same thing. It worked for 3 months now the same problem occurs.

If the limit will not close after tapping it you may have to replace it.

What does the circuit limit look like anyways? Does anyone know where it is located?

There are many diferent styles. It could be an electronic sensor or a mechanical thermostat.

I have multiple quarter size things attatched all near the buerners. They have 2 wires on either side of them. Are those the limit switch? If they are can I just jump the wires and see if it works properly and replace the one that is faulty?

I would say they sound like a type of limit. Those would be for monitoring flame roll out. If they are limits you can check them for continuity.

I was going to check the limit switch but my wife already called a someone to fix it. Now the guy charged us 75(cdn) yesturday stating it was a dirty flame rod sensor. So he cleaned that up. Today he said it was the limit switch (like I told him yesturday) and he will replace it tomorrow. Do you think he should bill me again for his labour? I want to know cause i wanna bring it up to him tomorrow.

I would only charge u what it should cost. Not for 2 trips. And if u pointed it out to me and i didnt fix it and had to come back i would have given your money back. I would be so a shamed of my self LOL. Really, he should only ask for the price of the part and the labor to install it.
