If my furnace ignitor is glowing, but I never get the burners to ignite, does anyone have any suggestions as to checking the system for the problem. The system does not even try to ignite, it just stays on with the inducer fan blowing and the ignitor glowing. The pressure switch is working (checked voltage and it was 24v), so I assume the limit switches are good. I never hear the gas valve open, so could it be a furnace circuit board problem? The furnace is a HEIL NTC5075BFE1.

At any point is there 24 volts present at the two wires at the gas valve?

Yes! I CAN fix that!

My gas valve has 4 wires to it that goes to the furnace control on the board. 24 v hot, 24 v common, 24 v pressure switch, and EFT (Electronic Fan Control). The 24 v pressure switch and 24 v hot have voltage. There is also wires going from the gas valve to the ignitor sensor.

check the thermostat, if you have round type, turn it all the way up and see if it ignites because i had a problem like that,
turns out to be the thermostat.
