At any point is there 24 volts present at the two wires at the gas valve?

My gas valve has 4 wires to it that goes to the furnace control on the board. 24 v hot, 24 v common, 24 v pressure switch, and EFT (Electronic Fan Control). The 24 v pressure switch and 24 v hot have voltage. There is also wires going from the gas valve to the ignitor sensor.

check the thermostat, if you have round type, turn it all the way up and see if it ignites because i had a problem like that, turns out to be the thermostat.
