I am replacing an old mercury thermostat with a new Honeywell CT3500. I am trying to wire the new one and cant seem to get the heat to come on. The wiring consists of a blue, white and red though the red was not used on the previous thermostat. the connections ont he new thermostat consist of a B, R, RC, O, W, Y, G. Can someone please advise me on this.

Blue to R and White to W. B,Rc,O,Y and G not used on a heat only system.
