I live in a rental and the owner is less than willing to fix any problems in the home. The air conditioning and furnace unit is a Gaffers and Sattler model # ACD15-U80. I had the gas lines redone last winter myself to meet code, but when I tried to turn on the furnace, the pilot light was out. I relit it and when the thermostat hits the proper temperature, the furnace turns out and the pilot goes out. I am thinking the pilot flame switch is bad and/or missing. A)Is it dangerous for me to relight the pilot light everytime I want the heat to come on? B) Where could I get this part?
