Come home the blower is on, continues running after the thermostat is set to the off position from auto. After checking we were getting cool air and not warm air. We then set the thermostat to heat, but it would not blow warm air. Gas valve is on, but auto pilot is not lit. Tried turning off the unit, then the gas (no gas smell), waiting five minutes.
Then turning the gas back on, turning the unit back on, but no ignition or heat, just blowing cool air regardless of the setting of the thermostat. The only way to control the unit is at the manual on/off switch.
Could you recommend a solution.

sounds like your high limit is bad....open., it is above the gas control stuck into the furnace, should have two wires going to it, jump them together and see if that fixes it, if it does i would replace that limit as soon a possible, it is a very important safety.
