Hello,
I know there have been many threads on this similar subject, but could not find one specify on the wiring from a simple comfort 2200 T-stat to my new Honeywell RTH7400. The simple comfort 2200 wiring set up is C, R, O, W2, G, E, and Y1. The Honeywell wiring setup offers the following. Conventional setup terminals are C, G, Y, W, RC, R, W2, Y2 AND THE Heat Pump setup terminals are C, G, Y, O/B, RC, R, AUX, E, and L. My A/C unit is a split unit with a heat pump. Brand name is Frigidaire. I think it is a 2 stage heat and 1 stage cool, but not for sure. I just went off the outside unit witch said it was a split unit and I also looked up the T-stat on line to figure out its function. I just don't want to damage my Unit with improper wiring, even if Honeywell says this T-stat is universal. Could any one please guide me with the proper wiring?
Thank you for you time and expertise!

Your origional wiring is for a multystage heatpump.

Xenos.

The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.

Hello,
Thanks for your info. Just installed it and everything is working so far fine. That Simple Comfort 2200 is a piece a crap, considering it's a new home. Thanks again, this site ROCKS!
