I have a carrier furnace that the blower runs constantly but the heat never kicks on.I checked voltage everywhere all is ok except at inducer.i have 24v on one leg and 1.8v at other.I disconnected the wiring harness and tested voltage at board,I had only 1.8v coming from the leg the one inducer wire was pluged into.So I am asking am I supposed to have 24v at Both legs and if so Would there be a problem with wiring the Bad leg from the board directly to the transformer?

if you have a black or grey boxs for your main board or brain. the board is bad.( you have a HK42FZ011) the resister to the inducer motor gets hot and burns out. the new board are open so air get to them and kepts them cool. the new board is HK42013. 13 mean the 13 time they have read done this board. just put one in to day.

ho ya hvac dude it 120 volt to all inducer motor. you need to get some more schooling.

The voltage on the draft mtr shoud be 120v. Disconnect the wiring harness and check the voltage on the blk and white wire.

NO. You should have 24 volts or more on one leg to ground

Turn the unit of and check for continuity between the two legs to make sure the windings in the motor are OK

What carrier furnace uses an inducer motor that runs on 24v?

I musta missed that one.

The ladder diagram will tell you what voltage you need to find.

Thermostat (thur me-stat') The 1st thing a HomeOwner suspects is wrong which is usually wrong thinking on their part. If in doubt jump it out.
