Last year I started having trouble. After the room temp had been met the heat would turn off but the blower wouldn't. It just blew cold air. I would have to manually turn it off. I called a repair man, he couldn't find anything wrong and couldn't get it to do what I said it did (after 45 min. and $120). It started doin the same thing this year, but now only the blower works.
I have vaccumed the inside and cleaned the filters. Now when I turn on the switch for the blower it comes right on and the little window where the ignition is, it sparks (clicks) but there is no flame.
I've talked to some folks here at work and they said it sounds like the gas valve is plugged. I'm sure I will have to call a repair person, but I don't want to be taken advantage of again. Any suggestions on what to look for or information I need to make sure he replaces or fixes only what is needed?
The model number is G26Q4/5-100-1
Weather - always trying to change it.

Loosen the compression nut where the pilot tube fastens to the gas valve about 1/2 turn so the tube wiggles just a little. Go to the furnace with some spray soap like 409. Spray the loose pilot connection with the soapy solution and at the same time have someone call for heat at the thermostat. If you see bubbles at the loose connection, I would say the gas valve is fine but the pilot tube may have a blockage.

Post your serial number and do you have a blue Johnson Control on that unit?
Thermostat (thur me-stat') The 1st thing a HomeOwner suspects is wrong which is usually wrong thinking on their part. If in doubt jump it out.
