Hi,I just moved into a new home and it has what seems to be a pretty old airco gas furnace.I can't seem to figure out where the pilot light is and it is getting cold so I really need to light it asap.I took off the bottom cover and it has two pipes that have open spots that look like thats where the pilot light should be but I don't have a manual so I can't figure it out.PLEASE HELP

thanks Beau

Find the main gas pipe to the furnace. It could be 1/2" or 3/4" black pipe. You should find a ball valve with ~3" long handle. This valve is the main shutoff for the furnace and should be about 5 feet away from the furnace. Be sure that handle is turned parallel to the pipe (ON position), not perpendicular (OFF position). Now continue to follow that pipe to the furnace. It should connect to the furnace gas valve. You should see a knob on the top of the gas valve that may say OFF, PILOT and ON. You should also see two smaller diameter pipes going into the furnace. Follow the smaller pipe and it should lead you to the pilot assembly.

How're you doing so far?
