I have a brand new 2 stage Armstong furnace. The flue is sealed up but I keep getting 3 error codes which represent either ristriction in the flue, (that is ruled out) or an open pressure switch. I fire the furnace up and the inducer moter runs for 15 seconds then the error messages lites up and kickes the furnace off. I beleive the furnace has 2 pressure switches also. Any help? I am not sure how to diagnose if the pressure switch is bad or not. Help needed. It is an Air Ease (made by armstrong) model G2D80CT
Thanks

Sam

The flue is sealed. It has no leaks, caulked up for no air leakage.

ok, got ya, you need to get a magahelic gauge from 0 to 1" and hook it up inline with your vacuum hose to read the actual negative pressure on that pressure switch to comfirm that it's the switch bad or something else. somewhere on the pressure switch will be a # like .35, .40 0r .65 this is what you need to make sure your pulling from the inducer.
If you have no such tool the only thing I can tell you is check the hose and where it hooks to the inducer motor, sometimes you get a little condonsate build up and it turns to crust inside the wheel housing and blocks the vacuum hose, disconnect the hose, push a small needle or paper clip thru and see if that fixes it.

the pressure switch should be ohmed out and will read normally open. it will have a small hose from induced draft motor to the pressure switch. It may also have a pressure switch in the drain line
