We just bought this place this past June. It has a HP26 Lennox heat pump with Electric AUX heat. We like to cool the house right down at nite, but when the heat pump comes on at 6 in the morning, if there are anymore than 2 degrees F between the room temp and the set temp, it immediately goes to 'Aux Heat On', which is not very efficient. Is there any reason I cannot set #170 in the Installers Setup to #11 instead of #7 for the winter? Or is there a better solution to my problem.
Any suggestions appreciated.

This will reduce heating capacity.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.

Houston,
Not as concerned with the reduced heating capacity as I am about being able to reduce the house temp at night and not have to pick the heat back up in the morning using the heat strips. Just trying it as we speak. I live in BC Canada, just above Seattle, about zone 7, so the temp extremes are not that severe.
