I have a Carrier unit with a fan that runs continously on heating mode. Inducer fans and pilot not coming on. Normally on heating mode, the inducer fan is suppose to start and goes into sequence of turning on the pilot, then the gas valve and the indoor fan. Turn off the unit, turn dowm the thermostat. The board is replaced and LED is not flashing (seems to be normal). When thermostat fan was put back on AUTO, the fan did not start until the temperature setpoint was raised to 80 degrees, and again, the same thing was happening, it's just the fan that is running constantly. Can anybody please help. Thanks

most of the times when a fan is running continuous and nothing else is happening, that means you have an open limit switch.

Is there any other limit switch besides the high limit? I could only see one by the the exhaust duct. I tested it for continuity and it is in the close position.

You "MUST" cut electrical to furnace to reset board! Playing with thermostat will do nothing but confuse u and those trying to help. Now turn on.,view and report order of start up procedure.

I've turn OFF the switch to the unit several times to reset the board but to no avail. This does not have a roll out switch. I am still puzzled. The only thing that I can think of is maybe the new board was defective as well, you'll never know. I've had this problem before with a Day and Night and that was all it took. I replace the board that had a bad relay and it work like a charm but not with this Carrier unit.
