I want to replace my old thermostats with new programmable ones in three rooms. All the electric baseboard heaters are Singer but I can't tell anything other than that. Bedroom = 1 heater 8ft long. Bathroom = 1 heater 4 ft long. Living room = 2 heaters 8 ft long and 1 heater 4 ft long. Based on rough estimates I think the 8 ft heaters are at least 6 amps but the programmable thermostats I see can't handle more than 16 amps. So that means the 3 heaters in the living will probably be too much for the thermostats. First question: do my estimates make sense? Second: are there programmable thermostats that handle more than 16 amps? Thanks!

Are you speaking of a high voltage stat?
