The heat pump for our house is making clicking noises. The air handler seems to be running fine, but sometimes when the heat turns on you can hear a clicking noise from both the outside unit and a relay or something turning on and off in the thermostat. When I go outside to listen to it, it sounds almost like a valve opening and closing. Other times the system seems to be running fine. Does anybody have an idea of what it might be?
