my furnace is about two years old and every now and then when it shuts the flame off it starts knocking loud all threw the house mainly the gas line that runs threw the house acts as an amplifier. i dont know if the gas valve is getting stuck or if the t.stat is messed up and telling it to do that. either why it is annoying as hell.. i had the hvac guy out and of course it didnt to it for him so they would not do anything to try to fix the problem.

wtf

It would be best if you can get the tech to come back and try again. I don't know how their shop works but at mine we charge one trip charge, and I'll come back and listen to it as many times as it takes to get it.

At two years it should still be under warranty and my concern is that there may be a real problem with that thing.
Sometimes when you get a heat exchanger that's going bad it will sound like someone's throwing golf balls around in there.
I had one furnace where the inducer was vibrating just enough to make the gas line rattle in its hangers, they could hear it throughout the house whenever the furnace first came on and again right when it shut off. My low cost solution for that was to put a flexible connector on the gas line.

But before you try that I would really encourage you to either give the tech another shot at it and / or have an inspection done on that furnace to make sure there's not some sort of hazardous condition developing that will be far more expensive to fix later.
