Have inherited (in the house)electric furnace (no heat pump)
which I find has an outdoor air/heat thermostat.
White Rogers stamped 2B61-186 on inside control,
with 0-50F graduated dial.
Being ignorant of such matters I have to ask,
what purpose this unit has?
How is it used with the electric furnace?
Have not been able to locate any owneres manual etc.
Could someone point me in the right direction?

Not sure, was it a rental, may be to shut down the AC if it is running when too cool outdoors.
Be good to your fellow man not nice there is a difference.
