This latest one is right out of the box. Installed it as a replacement for one that was only 2 years old (it just flat quit). Installed the new humidistat. Verified that water and 120V power (off of the sail switch) are both coming to the unit and that there are no breaks in the humidistat wires. Wired the humidistat wires to the yellow wires on the unit. The motor won't come on and the solenoid won't open. It just sits there. Any ideas?

Do you read 120 volts across sail switch? If so I would say switch is not closing, when closed you will be reading the same voltage on lugs so meter should read 0 volts when closed

I don't have a fix, but I do have a huge issue with this unit. I have replaced this unit 6 times since 2004. In the last couple of years it seems to be getting worse. I think Honeywell is using substandard motors for the fan, because it just quits running. Hopefully you took out an extended agreement plan where you purchased it, because that's the only thing that has saved me.
