I have an american standard furnance (gas) that in the last month has had 2 episodes of not heating well (set at 69 and drops to 62) Changed the filter and the heat came back up. This morning it was at 61 again. Changing the filter did not help. The furnance is running, burners are lit. Seems like there is warm air coming out of ducts but not enough. Any answers as to what the problem might be

Ratcoons and the Cable guy.
check your ducts for downed lines and major leaks. beyond that if its new perhaps the gas pressure is off and the flame is burnning but not as hot as it should. You need a specialized tool to check it.
