I have a Trane Weathertron baystat240 3AAT80B1A1 thermostat and would like to replace it with a Hunter model #44155c. The wires on the old stat are as follows:

R= Red
T= Brown
O= Orange
G= Green
Y= Yellow
X2=Black
B= Blue
U & W wired together= White

The New Hunter has

g
rc
rh
y/o
w/b
y1

I cannot get it to work maybe I wired it improperly and it will not work, and when I tried to hook up the old thermostat now I have no power to it, please help me on what I need to do.

Your new stat is not compatible with your multistage heat pump.
Trane's B = C (common).
There is a small chance that you can replace a low voltage blade type fuse in your air handler. If you do not have a fuse protecting your transformer, you must now replace your transformer. Always remove power to your air handler before replacing a stat.

It would be inside of your air handler. 240 volts will still be present with a popped low voltage fuse or a damaged transformer. Remove power to your air handler before working in there.

If you post the model number someone here may be able to post your manual or a picture of your board.

I can post some examples though...
