a while back someone put on here how to correctly chrge freon in the winter would someone care to do this again for me step by step id like to write it in my notes..new at this winter time thing thanks in advance

You need to pull the refrigerant out and then weigh in the correct charge per the data plate. Any other way is wrong.

On a heatpump there will be a charging port on unit other than suction line suction pressure will be low during winter months use superheat or subcooling method off suction line before reversing valve

I'm sure someone can give you what you're looking for. But since every heat pump is a little different, charging during winter (heat mode) or summer (AC mode) is best done by following the manufacturer's directions that are usually tucked inside the electrical box of the condenser unit.

yea your right and i have been i went back and found the old post it was just a basic way to do a quick check very informative i just wanted it in my notes i write down everything!lol guess everybdy has a system thanks tho
