I am looking into a complete heating, cooling, and air cleaning system for my house. I am looking into a X95 furnace, Clean effects, 800 tstat, and a XL15i heat pump.
First question, any changes you would make to the system as a cost benefit issue, too make sure I am not wasting money with no long term benefit.
Next the price I have been quoted for the entire install seems very high, but I don't know. Is $9500 high for all components installed? What is a fair price?

If duct system is in good ahape, well insulated then why change anything? It's difficult to make an opinion on that price without knowing the size of equipment and the details of the installation. Typically you get what you pay for just like anything else.
