My home is electric heat. We are doing a major renovation with a complete upgrade. my contractor recommends a Buderus Gb142 propane gas system. the main floor will be hydro air with cooling while the lower floor will be baseboard heat. We live in New England( Connecticut) and want to know what you think. Am I getting bang for my buck( big buck!!).. I'm not planning on moving any time soon so I don't want cheap. I also don't wasnt to throw money away as I'm financially sensitive. please give me your input

dnice, I too live in CT. I think a Buderus boiler with hydroair will be great. More costly but you always get what you pay for. That boiler is one of the most efficient you can get so it should go easy on your propane usage. I'm questioning why baseboard and no a/c on the 1st floor. Sounds kinda crummy unless you're planning on using window or sleeve units.
