Have a Payne furnace 654aw from the 80's, occasional use in a summer mobile home . Worked fine on natural gas but was switched to LP and "converted" by the local LP supplier. Now starts up, runs for short while, & then shuts down. Will continue to cycle on & off with just a little heat. Suggestion on how to correct?

Bill

May not have anything to do with the LP conversion. Try doing a tempurature rise. Mobile homes (especially older ones) have very small duct systems in them. You may be going out on limit. If your payne furnace isn't mobile home approved (I doubt that it is) it may not be designed to handle the small duct system.

If in doubt call a pro !
