I am replacing my (old) Trane Model BAYSTAT 239 thermostat with a (new)Honeywell RTH7400 programmable thermostat. I need help wiring to the new thermostat. My H/C system is a heat pump system.
My existing Trane wiring:
X2----|
W ----| X2 and W were jumpered together
O
G
Y
T
R
B

New Honey Well diagram - For Heat Pump
C
G
Y
O/B
Rc --|
R --| R and Rc are jumpered together

Aux
E
L

I have connected the wiring as instructions states,(*) leaving me an unconnected T (White wire)
I have been to the website that has the manual in pdf format, but it doesn't give info on matching up wire letters.

Thanks
MA

Thanks

Old = New
X2 & W = Aux & E
O = O/B
G = G
Y = Y
T = tape this wire off
R = Rc & R
B = C

option 170 = 7 (Multistage Heatpump)
option 190 = 0 (O/B terminal is O)
Be sure to remove power to your air handler before replacing your stat.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
