Unbelievable. Thank you TnNATE1412 for the backup. This jamoke won't be satisfied till someone agrees with him. Then after the switch is replaced he'll feel too stupid to post a message like: "Carrier 58sx, replaced everything and it still doesn't work" So he will then call back his carrier tech who will show up and condemn the furnace in about 5-10 minutes. This guy's original reply should have been more like this: "Duke, I opened up my plenum and inspected the heat exchanger. That's where I noticed a huge gaping crack across it. I just wanted to thank you for saving my family from CO poisoning and for saving me the expense of buying unneccessary parts. I realize that the techs on HVACMechanic.com are the best and would like you to marry one of my daughters."

WE KNOW YOU JUST NEED SWITCHES, so go ahead and have your Carrier factory tech replace all the switches on the furnace, if you want to waste the money! Face the fact from the earlier post. Have you replaced the pressure switch yet with the same symptoms?

This is simple as ...., pull the board assembly, unhook the trap, and pull the blower. Crawl under with a really bright light and check the heat exchanger for rust and major holes. When the fan comes on you are forcing air into the heat exchanger shutting off the safety switch. This has been real bad this season.
