My Carrier A/C home unit model# FK4D has very little airflow to the upstairs bedrooms, but in the loft area near the bedrooms, it has a stronger than normal airflow and it's coming out the wrong vent instead of the normal A/C vent (air in-take vent??? Most all of the rooms in the house have these vents). Also, this unit has 2 zones. The zone downstairs will turn on when the upstairs zone needs to cool down to my desired setting, even though the downstairs zone is below the set temperature. What is causing these problems?
Thanks WB

I'm not sure you got all your facts straight but I suspect a zone damper stuck open or closed. Usually caused by defective zone damper motor. Possibly 1st fl. damper stuck open.
