Earlier today my condensing fan worked fine. When I got home on the outside unit the condensor was running but the fan wasnt and the unit was pretty hot and I'm pretty sure it wasn't frorm the sun because the sun usually stops hitting it about 2.5 hrs. from when i noticed this. Any Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

what do u want us to tell u? call a repair man ....its a bad motor or bad capacitor, your dealing with very high voltages and the avg. homeowner does not have the skills or know how or tools to tackle this job.

Thanks for your concern and I congradulate you on your 23yrs of service. However some people may know more than you think and all they need is a push in the right direction. Pretty sad when someone with no experince in HVAC compared to your ingenious 23yrs managed to replace the burnt motor and the cap (just for good measures) which I managed to figure out no help to you. Oh and guess what. I had the correct tools to work with to. Imagine that. Thanks.
