there is an insulated 3wire bundle 1R 1W & 1G.This bundle, which goes to the compressor, was chewed in half by one of my dogs leaving just the section that come through the exterior wall of the house with no trace of where it connects at the contactor if in fact that is where it is supposed to go.i suspect these wires are from the thermistat. EQUIPMENT: ARCOAIRE 13XF dont no the year i think it has a 2 pole contactor. My question: how do i find out where these wires connect?

...but I won't...I won't ...the hell I won't

Remove power to your furnace and to your condenser.
Remove the panel to your furnace and verify that White and Red were connected to Y and C.
Remove the panel to your outdoor unit. There should be some pigtails there that you connect the red and white wire to.

The orange wire nuts in my example connect to the field installed control wire...

If the unit was running when your dog ate the stat wire, you probably need a new low voltage fuse in the furnace circuit board. Usually 3 amp for gas heat and 5 amp for electric heat.

3 bucks a pack for low voltage, blade type, automotive fuses at Autozone.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
