Please Help!
I am replacing my Trane Baystat239 for a Honeywell RTH6300B. These are the settings below.
Trane:
G = Fan R = 24 Vac Y = Compressor W = Aux Heat O = Reverse Valve Cooling T = Thermister X2 = Heat strip B = Common
Honeywell
G = Fan R/Rc = 24 Vac Y = ? W O/B = ?
I have a Tempstar dual Heatpump/Air Con Unit outside.
Manual says:
Do not connection both O and B if you have a Heat Pump (which I do). Connection O wire to O/B W. Do not use C, X or B.
With the information given I would assume that the following is correct but I don't know what to do with the White (W) unless I am way off on this, or if the others are correct. The Honeywell Thermostat says its for Heat Pump/Air Con so I assume it will work. Can someone please untangle this mystery of mine? Thank you in advance!
Trane Honeywell G = G R = R/Rc Y = Y W = ? O = O/B W T = Not used B = Not used X2 = Not used

That stat will not work for you. You need a 2 stage heat pump thermostat.

Houston,
Thanks again. I got the RTH7400, coded the options and now works like a charm !

I'm replacing the same thermostat with a RTH7500. The only thing I can't figure out is where the T wire goes on the new thermostat. Any help?
