Trying to replace a white rodgers programmable with a wireless thermostat. The current thermostat is wire like so:

Thermostat Side Furnace Side

W - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - W a red wire goes from here to somwhere
RH - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - R
RC is jumpered to RH
G - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -G
Y - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Y
C (no wire connected between these points) C a white wire goes from here to somewhere

So I am trying to install a wireless thermostat that requires a C wire. I have an extra blue wire i can connect from the furnace C to the new thermostat C, but I didn't want to fry anything. Also, on the new thermostat, there is no jumper from RC to RH.

Any help appreciated!

You can go ahead and connect that blue wire to C at both ends. You will have to add a jumper to RC and RH.
