Just wanted to see if this is a good price for split system and install. Goodman furnace GMH950904CX, American Standard R-22 A/C unit 2A7B3030A1000A , ADP uncased coil - 2.5 ton, Air Behr 5" wide Air filter. Total material + labor is $3,220 - Chicago area.

Also is going to GMV95 series going to add to labor in any way.

Thanks guys for the quick responce. I asked him about two other options: R-410A and/or a variable speed furnace. R-410A would add about $475 to the total install. The GMV series furnace would add about $700. He didn't recommend the variable due to it having a 5 ton capable motor (overkill he was trying to say I think) and R-410A would be a good idea but he assured me R22 isn't that bad in the short term. He kind of hinted going with an American Standard compressor is a good bet compared to Goodman. Lots of return service calls for them.

I recommend a matching coil for that American Standard condenser. R22 is due to be phased out. If you can get R410A at that price it would be a better idea.

They work for peanuts in your area. That is a cheap price.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
