How should we deal with high humidity on ground level of house built on cement slab. The AC is large, cools house quickly, and does not remove humidity from lower level. We can buy whole house dehumidifier but do we just use on lower level? Humidity can be 80%.

"A/C is large and cools quickly". It may be oversized and not running long enough to remove the humidity. A 2 stage A/C like the Lennox XC16 or XC21 with the humiditrol system will probably do a better job. Runs longer and removes more moisture. Humiditrol system is unique to Lennox. Check Lennox.com and get more info from a large reputable Lennox dealer who sells and understands them. Have them do a cooling load calculation to get the proper size.
