i may have posted this before, my puter crashed, I just got a replacement.

In motor replacement, I know that supply voltage, direction of rotation and diameter must match. How close in HP, Amps, does it have to be, if exact replacement is not available?
Thankyou for your help, I'm trying to learn all I can and be a good hvac technician.

HP and AMP should be equal or slightly greater.
You must also match frame. Don't forget the cap.

I recommend OEM motors whenever possible. Quicker and more reliable installation.
