Just wondering what most people use to check if the small leak is in the furnace plenum A coil, other than by checking everything else. Halide torch on R 22 out of the home registers, would that work.
Are all refrigerants not flamable, CFC's and HCFC's you use a halide on so they are not flamable, just got to watch out for fosgene gas, I believe that to be the only danger, is that right?
In the Trade for a long long time ! Things a bit different than before ! Refrigeration still doesn't have a "d" in it does it ?

Thanks a lot for your reply Huston, I am looking into that hand hekd leak detector, you can hold the probe right in the path of the discharge air to sence if the evap has a leak ?

You would have to hold it an inch away from most leaks to pinpoint them. It works great with R410a (Puron). My old H10PM wouldn't, so I upgraded.
