Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a house, and I just found out the furnace (along with the A/C) is on the roof. I'd never seen that before - is that a standard thing, or something I should be worried about? It's presumably covered, but should I be worried about water/snow damage? Thank you!

phil

Probably it is what we call a package unit which you usually see on commercial bldgs/strip malls. Perfectly suitable for houses also. Designed to be weatherproof.
