Hi, I have a HEIL Heat Pump package unit, Model # PYPA48GA1

I changed out the old thermostat with a Honeywell CT70A. In cooling mode, im having aprox 30 second delay before the inside blower kicks in. This is after the compressor/condenser fan starts.

I am posting some before & after thermostat wiring photos. Im sorry the photos are so big.

Thanks in advance, James

That may be a time delay built into the heat pump. Are you sure the old stat didn't do the same thing?

The new stat isn't exactly an upgrade. I recommend a digital stat. (Jumper W2 to E)

No it never did that with the old thermostat.

Jumper from W2 to E did not help.

The W2 to E jumper only allows emergency heat to operate if it is ever needed. It was not intended to prevent the delay caused by your sequencer.
