Has anyone ever had this problem? Four ton 15 Seer Amana split , 50 ft. of proper sized tubing, 20 degree TD. Can add or release 9 pounds of R-22 and pressures ,TD, and amount of condensate water DOES NOT CHANGE. Inside temp can be 70 to 72 degrees yet extremely humid. Any suggestions?

Why stop at 9 lbs? Adding freon does not fix air conditioners. It would be helpful to know the: Suction pressure Head pressure Suction line temp. Liquid line temp Outdoor temp indoor temp

Sounds like a return air leak. Measure the return air temp at the grill and at the unit.
Does this unit have fresh air ducted into the return?
As Duke stated, get the subcool and superheat set correctly.
