A question to you pros out there. I bought a highly rated 12K mini-split AC off the Web. Now I'm trouble finding any company willing to install the unit. Any suggestions? What would be a reasonable cost to have it done. Thanks in advance.

cheers
K

Most contractors will not install equipment they didn't provide. This is because we don't know where it's been. We have enough trouble with those and don't wish for more. Is this a ductless split? Is it in the box new?
Not sure about rates in your area but my company would probably charge $1000-2000 for labor and materials depending on the installation circumstances.

Yes it's a ductless split. It is new in the box. This is getting very frustrating. I can't even give my money away.

If no contractor will do it then maybe friends, family neighbors, or co-workers know someone that will do it on the side? Do you know any plumbers, electricians, or carpenters? They would probably know an Hvac tech. This can be more risky for you. My sidejobs are quite professional but I've seen a lot of hack-jobs.
