After nearly 3 years in a new house, my 10 Seer Aire Flo Heat Pump is emitting a significant vibration sound for nearly 2 minutes after the air conditioner kicks on. Placing pressure on the housing alters the sound of the vibration but does not reduce or eliminate it. Is this a matter of loose parts that need tightened or is it an indication that it needs maintenance or an overhaul?

Package or split system? Which ever the case, excessive vibration is a sign of inpending failure, what I can't say without more detail.
