I have tried several forums. So far no help. I have a Goodman unit cannot find the model number or serial number. New install early 2007. I do know it is a split unit.
Here is the problem. Was working fine no noises etc...
Outside fan and compressor will turn on no problem.
Inside air handler fan will not work. I have tried some logical tests. Tried the heat the blower for the heat will not come on either.
I have been told it could be the thermostat or the cable going to the thermostat, but I do not think this is the case.
I have also been told it could be the fan relay, but I cannot identify any such relay in the schematic or on visual.
It is a variable speed fan with an emmerson control board.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I will get any information that I can if someone will just tell me what they need.
Warranty ended about 3 months ago and it is awfully hot. Right now I cannot afford to pay the exorbiant price of a professional. (My Mom passed about 3 weeks ago and she had no insurance.)

That variable speed motor is a fortune.
Have you tried jumping R to G at the furnace?
