My electric heater in my unit will not turn off (i.e it counter acts my a/c). When I disconnecected my W wire for the heater and I can feel my a/c. Does anyone know how to fix my heater problem???

Turn on a/c. Go to the outdoor unit. Check for 24v between W and C. If 24v then disconnect W and see if 24v is coming from the control, or from the W wire. If it's from the control then replace the control and defrost sensor. If it's from the wire then it's a short elsewhere.

Where did you disconnect it? The stat, sequencer, or circuit board. If it was at the air handler, try disconnecting it at only the stat. If this corrects the problem, replace your stat.
If the problem persists, you may have a damaged stat wire.
