My AC seems to work fine. My problem is about 90% of my air flow is coming out of only about 6-8 vents, while the remaining 4-5 vents get little air flow. I've tried closing the vents to the strong vents, but it doesn't appear to help much. The air flow is so strong to those vents that it still seeps out. One side of the house seems stuffy while the other side is chilly.
What are my options? Thanks in advance.

Air flow is about duct size (cross sectional area). Most likely the strong flow is coming through the supplies closest to the air handler/furnace. The weak air flow from the end of the supply duct. You need to check that no ducts are crimpt (flex duct mostly). Then be sure the main ducting going to the weak flow registers is big enough. Lastly, be sure you have a big enough return air duct system so the entire system isn't air-starved.

Is that a zoned system(more than 1 thermostat)?

No. There's only one thermostat.

Check the main line for a damper handle.
